Mr. Shi Shengjie was born in Tianjin in Apirl, 1953. In 1977 he became a professional crosstalk comedian in Heilongjiang Folk Art Troupe; in 1984, he became the last disciple of the crosstalk art master, Hou Baolin; in 1985 he was awarded one of ten national famous comedians. He is an honorary chairman of Heilongjiang Folk Art Association and a first-level national actor of Heilongjiang People’s Art Center. He is popular for his fresh and distinct stage image and excellent basic skills in extemporizing, which combines to make a natural style with silvery speech and the sweet tonality. His representative works include “Mayor Hao”, “Sincerity”, and “Young Shoemaker’s Fortuitous Encounter” and so on.
