Born in Hefei City, Anhui Province in 1927, he was admitted to Huoshan Normal College in 1944, specializing in traditional Chinese painting. In 1951 he joined the Chinese People鈥檚 Liberation Army and in 1958, with the 100,000 army men transferred to civilian work, he went to reclaim wasteland in the Great Northern Wilderness. Then he became editor of Literary Arts of the Great Northern Wilderness. In 1962 he was appointed professional writer of Heilongjiang Writer鈥檚 Association and worked on that post until now. Mr. Wang is a versatile writer and artist in Heilongjiang literary circle. He not only can compose poems, and write prose, but also is good at drawing and photographing, among which novel creation stands out. It has been more than a half century since his works made their first appearance in the literary world.His masterpieces include novels such as The Invincible Fighting Eagles, Zhao Shangzhi (first volume), Li Zhaolin鈥擣lames of War in Liaodong.
