The Sudanese capital Khartoum on Saturday hosted the first session of the high-level dialogue between the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Sudan's ruling National Congress Party (NCP) with the participation of around 150 representatives of the two parties and the two governments. Li Yuanchao, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the Organizational Department of the CPC Central Committee, delivered a speech titled "Deepening inter- party cooperation and joining hands to seek development" at the opening session on behalf of the CPC. NCP Deputy Chairman and Assistant to the Sudanese President Nafie Ali Nafie, for his part, addressed the session on behalf of the NCP. Wang Jiarui, Member of the Central Committee of the CPC and Head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and Mustafa Osman Ismail, Secretary of the NCP External Relations and Assistant to the Sudanese President also held talks as part of the session. The friendly, frank and in-depth dialogue reviewed how to further develop the two parties' relations in light of the current developments, shared experiences on how to consolidate their ruling positions, and discussed international and regional issues of common concern. Through the dialogue, the two sides reached broad consensus and achieved tangible success. |
