Chen Yanlong was born in 1965 and is of Fujin nationality, Heilongjiang Province. He is a member of the China Artists Association, member of the China Engravers Association and national Class-A artist. He is a middle-aged expert enjoying a special government allowance and a professional painter of the Daqing Painting and Calligraphy Institute.

His engraving works were selected in the 8th and 9th National Art Exhibition, and the 10th and 17th National Engraving Exhibition, China Hundred-year Engraving Classics Exhibition and the Qingdao International Engraving Double Years Exhibition. His works have also featured in the Japanese 4th Kochi International Engraving Exhibition, Bulgarian 12th International Engraving Double Years Exhibition, Taiwan 11th International Engraving Double Year Exhibition, and Taiwan 2004 International Small Engraving Invitation Exhibition. He has also displayed works at the U.K. 2005 Wrexham International Engraving Invitation Exhibition and Canada 2005 International Small Engraving Invitation Exhibition.
