Liu Jidi was born in 1941. He is a native of Zhaoyuan, Shandong Province. He is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a member of the China Oil Painting Society, director of Heilongjiang Oil Painting Research Association, vice-president of Harbin Artists Association and vice-president of the Oil Painting Research Association.

His representative works “March” were selected into The First China Oil Painting Exhibition and got a provincial merit award. “Northern Clouds” was selected into The Third China Select Oil Painting Exhibition and got a provincial merit award. “Melting” was selected into the National Stars Art Exhibition and got a provincial golden award. “Xing’anchunzao” (early spring in Xing’an) was selected into The Eighth National Stars Art Exhibition and got a stars award and provincial first-level award. His works are displayed at home and abroad and are highly sort after. He has held personal oil painting exhibitions and academy research activities 4 times both home and abroad.
