Female, born in July 1942, of Han nationality, native of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.

1959-1964 Student at the Biophysics Department of the University of Science and Technology of China

1964-2005 Intern researcher, assistant researcher, associate researcher and researcher in the Biophysics Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)

Visiting scholar to German wool research institute (1979-1981) and the United States National Institute of Health (1981-1982)

Visiting scientist to the Los Angeles-based City of Hope National Medical Center (1987-1988)

Visiting scientist in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (1988-1991)

Research assistant in Canada's University of Alberta (1991-1993)

Visiting scientist in German's Goettingen University (1995)

Chinese delegate to the Federation of Asian and Oceanian Biochemists and Molecular Biologists (1995-2001)
