1967-1968 Waiting for job assignment at the BNU

1968-1970 Working on the farm affiliated to No. 8402 unit of the People's Liberation Army (PLA)

1970-1979 Teacher at the school affiliated to the northwest power grid construction bureau

1979-1981 Graduate student of economic geography at the BNU

1981-1997 Deputy dean, dean of the geography department, director of the scientific research department, director of the administrative office, vice president and president of the Northwest University
