Deng Pufang

Male, born in 1944, of Han nationality, native of Guang'an, Sichuan Province.

Vice-chairman of the 11th CPPCC National Committee, member of its Leading Party Members' Group, chairman of the China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF), executive president of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympic Games (BOCOG) and president of the China Welfare Fund for the Handicapped (CWFH).

Joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 1965.

1968-1975 Persecuted during the "cultural revolution," physically disabled in May 1968

1975-1984 Working at the administrative bureau of the People's Liberation Army General Staff Headquarters
