Heilongjiang agriculture has experienced large-scale development construction in the 60 years since the founding of New China. The past desolate and uninhabited 鈥淏eidahuang鈥?has turned into 鈥淏eidacang鈥?(The Chinese expression that the desolate ground has become the fertile one.) The largest farm groups in China were springing up in the black soil. Until 2009, the output of crops is expected to reach 40 billion kilos, a new record in agriculture history.
