[Photo: scol.com.cn] Traffic police in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, released on Monday the daredevil driving speeds of a luxury car team that has been turning heads in Sichuan lately, scol.com.cn reported. A fleet of luxury cars grabbed attention when it arrived in southwest China's Chongqing municipality to display 26 top sports cars such as Ferraris and Maseratis on July 4. But the cars also grabbed the attention of Chengdu traffic police, who intercepted them on a whirlwind cruise down the expressway near Chengdu on July 5. According to the electronic monitor on the expressway, six cars were driving over the speed limit and two had no license number. The monitors showed that a red Ferrari that had been speeding had accelerated three times in just 29 kilometers. Moreover, a black Ferrari without a license number drove at 195 kilometers per hour, one of the highest speeds recorded by an electronic monitor in Chengdu. The traffic police said that they would sternly punish the drivers of these speeding cars after a further investigation. |
