Born September 17, 1968 in Beijing, Yvonne Yung Hung emigrated to Hong Kong when she was 12 years old. She joined in the entertainment after winning the Miss Asia Pageant in 1989.

From 1993 to 1994, she has appeared in numerous Category III films, including Ten Tortures of the Manchu Qing Dynasty, Ancient Chinese Whorehouse, Lover of the Last Empress and Fake Pretty Woman. So she has become famous because the popular of Ten Tortures of the Manchu Qing Dynasty.

Now, she emphasizes acting in TV series and makes a variety of TV series in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan. She has also worked with famous actor Zhang Tielin to establish an agency.

Yung's first marriage ended in divorce. In 2009, she married her second husband, Will Liu, a gymnasium coach. Now they have a daughter and live very happily.
