Born 1963, she used to play hookers or mistress in TV series of TVB (Television Broadcasts Limited). In 1987, she co-starred with Yun-Fat Chow in the film City on Fire and became famous. Then she took roles in a series of Category III films including Naked Killer and Sex and Zen.

More importantly, she is the first actress who won as the Best Actress of the 30th Golden Horse Award because of a Category III film Remains of a Woman. Besides, she won the Hong Kong Film Awards and has been nominated for 6 times, which proved her excellent acting skills.
