U.S. actress Selena Gomez performed on stage at Santa Monica Place in California on Monday, according to media reports.

The 18-year-old actress-and-singer was originally scheduled to appear on Friday but had to reschedule after being hospitalized over the weekend.

Selena said she was admitted to hospital for being "malnourished" and "exhausted".

Earlier in the day, she expressed her excitement to get back on stage on her Facebook.

She tweeted: "Feeling much better, thank you all for being so understanding. Can’t wait to see you all today at Santa Monica Place for the Monte Carlo kick off.”
