Enterprise representatives from China and UK signed a series of cooperative contracts on environmental-protection and energy conservation in Shanghai September 9th.
Visiting UK Business Secretary Peter Mandelson who was in Shanghai last Wednesday highly hailed the cooperation between British and Chinese enterprises and extended his wishes for the signing of the energy conservation contracts.
Earlier this year, China and Britain reached multiple consensuses that included economic stimulation, welfare, financial markets' stabilization and energy and environmental protection. The low carbon technical cooperation was part of the bilateral framework as well.
Peter Mandelson, UK Business Secretary
"I have been putting particular emphasis on the low carbon business possibilities, and there is a lot of collaboration we can undertake in producing goods and service, and sharing technological know-how together."
