Chinese equities closed higher in the morning trading session Friday than the previous trading day, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.21 percent, or 40.29 points, to finish at 3,361.85.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.39 percent, or 184.51 points, to 13,457.04.
A Friday report released by domestic Guosen Securities revealed that 56 Chinese securities traders raked in 29.9 billion yuan (4.38 billion U.S. dollars) net profits in the first half of this year as of Thursday, due to the upbeat A-share stock market performance.
