(Lead) - Construction of the subway project is well underway in Heilongjiang's capital city Harbin. So far half of the civil engineering projects of the subway stations have been finished.
(Picture on) - On the construction site of the Harbin Engineering University stop, basic structure of the subway station can be seen clearly as the civil engineering works have been finished.
According to the project's construction manager, building a subway station is equal to the construction of an underground two-floor building.
(Camera on) - Li Dongfeng, Construction Manager "There is a island-shaped station in the middle for passengers and the trains will run along the two side of the stop."
Construction of the 156-meter long Harbin Engineering University subway station is halfway completed. According to schedule, civil engineering projects of the station will be finished by the end of October and traffic will be resumed on some of the roads near the construction site. Tunnel construction will start by then to connect all the stations along the subway Line 1.
