It can't be easy to handle her overnight celebrity status, but actress Tang Wei naturally takes the abrupt turn her life has taken in stride.

In response to the scenes of her that CCTV cut when it re-broadcasted the 28th Hong Kong Film Festival on April 19, the actress seems quite at peace, saying she would regret it if the entire scene was cut but believes the department may have had their own reasons for doing so.

The actress did not dwell on the incident but expressed the great honor she already felt in attending the festival as an award presenter.

Tang Wei's latest romantic drama, "Crossing Hennessy", in which she costars with singer Jacky Cheung, wrapped up yesterday in Hong Kong, according to Hong Kong Wenweipo newspaper.

Jacky Cheung praised his costar, who may not be experienced, but is diligent and truly heartfelt in her acting.

Though she wasn't shooting any scenes, Tang Wei appeared on set Thursday to visit Paw Hee-ching, Sunday night's best actress winner, who was reportedly fallen ill.

On the set, Tang also expressed her appreciation to Jacky Cheung for having helped her, a new performer, navigate her role in the production.

The actress will soon return to the mainland after finishing shooting.
