Chinese mainland rock music icon Zheng Jun will soon publish his debut cartoon fiction and launch an animated cartoon series based on the original story, the rock musician announced at a press conference on Thursday.
The cartoon novel is centered on a Tibetan mastiff "Mito" and his life adventure. Zheng Jun revealed that his daughter, who's keen for cartoons, inspired him to come up with a cartoon. The storyline of the cartoon fiction is extracted from the original bedtime stories he told his daughter. The singer said it took him three years to write the story and create the cartoon images. Many were surprised when he started pursuing his dream of producing cartoons. "But I'm taking it seriously and I'll do the sequel to this one," Zheng responded to these doubts. He also opted for professional market research and consulted with some cartoon industry insiders before diving into cartoon making. The production of the animated version of the cartoon is already on the agenda and Zheng Jun has finished composing music for it. To turn the band "Rockdong" in his fictitious story into reality, the rocker will also invite other musical talents to form the first virtual band in China. (Northeast web) |
