Along the Sino-Russian border in northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province, 83 meters from a boundary marker, stands a special “home” – the No. 329 Sentry Post. A couple in their 50s have made it their home, with the marker as their silent companion. Standing guard day in and day out, they help secure the border for the greater good of their compatriots behind them.
Our reporters visited this couple, who volunteered to guard the borderline, to experience their dedication firsthand that persists beside the boundary marker.
