Qitaihe City, located in the eastern part of Heilongjiang Province, has a total area of 6223 square kilometers. It administers Boli County, Taoshan District, Xinxing District, Eggplant River District and Jinsha New District with a total population of 920,000. Located between 130 06 - 131 58, 45 16 - 46, Qitaihe City was developed and constructed in 1958. It was a county-level city in 1970 and a provincial city in 1983. It is a new comprehensive industrial city dominated by coal and wood processing industry.
