At 12 a.m. on August 23rd, it happened coal mine accident in Hengtai Mining Industry, Qitaihe Boli Town, Heilongjiang Province. There were twenty-six miners were trapped underground.

When accident news came out, the local immediately launch emergency rescue emergency plan of coal mine accident. It emergency transferred more than 400 professional staff to constitute rescue team. And they ready to reach all the designated position which rescuing needed cable, water pump, drains road, transformer, and other equipment and supplies in the shortest possible time.

Deputy chief of the National Coal Mine Safety Supervision, Huang Yuzhi and chief engineer of the National Production Safety Emergency Rescue Center, Meng Bincheng arrived site of accident at that night to command rescue. Heilongjiang provincial party committee secretary, Ji Bingxuan and provincial governor Wang Xiankui successively arrived at site to guide the rescue work.

Although the mine accident had exceeded 72 hours golden relief period, the rescue worker who haven’t slept continuous many nights still continually strive to surpass their physiological limits. They do believed that the miners underground was waiting their help at some corner……

In the morning on 30th, the dark clouds that enveloped the coal mine finally began to dissipate. 19 miners were rescued. Arrive here, twenty-six miners were trapped, twenty-two were rescued, one died and there are three people who still in the rescue.
