Hong Kong stocks closed down 806.60 points, or 3.08 percent, to 25,346.55 points on Tuesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 25,315.76 and 26,015.49. Turnover totaled 97.18 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 12.40 billion U.S. dollars).
