The school which has been subject to a much-debated school bullying event in Beijing is not denying the incident has occurred but says that it was not "bullying".

Zhongguancun No.2 Primary School, a renowned primary school in Haidian District, made a statement about the result of their investigation on its official WeChat account Tuesday night, saying it has watched the recorded security camera footage and decided that the two alleged bullies' behaviors were not "bullying" or "violence".

"According to our investigations, Mingming, Junjun and Liangliang (aliases of the three students involved) have a normal relationship, and they communicated with each other normally both inside and outside the classroom." the statement said, "They may occasionally give each other nicknames, but do not have obvious conflicts."

The statement contains the details of the event and what the school had done after it occurred.

The affair started after a mother posted an article online earlier this month describing how her 10-year-old son Mingming (alias) was bullied at Zhongguancun No.2 Primary School, which went viral in a few days' time and triggered widespread discussion on parenting.

The article said that the boy was humiliated by two other students in a bathroom on November 24.

The author wrote that one pupil blocked the toilet door saying "I want to see your ass," while the other one threw a garbage bin with used toilet paper and urine onto her son's head.

She said in the article that her son then cleaned himself while crying but did not report the incident to his teacher.

The boy's father said his son has since been diagnosed with an acute stress reaction to the event, and his son has been reluctant to go to school, is easily annoyed and has had difficulties falling asleep.

The family then went to the school to communicate with Mingming's teachers and parents of the other two students.

One student's parents made an apology, while the other student's parents refused to apologize and said their son was only a witness.

Minming's parents also reported the incident to the Haidian District Education Committee, who later responded saying that they would work out a scheme on school bullying prevention for juveniles.

Beijing Municipal Commission of Education also said that they would find out the problems and deal with it properly after receiving a report from the family.
