E-commerce will be one of the most important sections at the fourth China Beijing Fair of Trade in Services (CIFTIS), scheduled between May 28 and June 1, CIFTIS announced on Tuesday.

Renowned e-commerce companies, including JD.com, Xiaomi, LeTV, and Amazon, are expected to showcase their products and services at the fair.

Representatives of the companies will discuss topics, ranging from cross-border e-commerce, consumer services, e-commerce in rural areas and mobile payments to business culture.

Among the topics, cross-border e-commerce has drawn special attention, with favorable policies issued by the government and the rapid development of the sector in recent years.

Xbniao.com, an e-commerce company which deals with B2C and B2B export businesses, made its first public debut at the Beijing fair only two years ago. Now, it has become a major contributor of export for the city of Beijing, according to the company's CEO Liu Yin.

Liu says xbniao.com will showcase their newest products for export at the Beijing Fair.

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang proposed the idea of Internet Plus in early 2015 to promote the application of the Internet in traditional industries and develop e-commerce and other sectors.

Unlike the long-established Canton Fair, which deals with the trading of commodities, the Beijing Fair is much younger, and it deals with the service sector. In addition to e-Commerce, other major sections include sci-tech, Chinese medicine, redistribution and intellectual property.
