Honda (China) has filed for a vehicle recall to commence on Feb. 1, 2015, over reports of defective airbags, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said on Friday. The recall will affect 2,623 imported vehicles, including the Stream and CR-V models manufactured between 2003 and 2004 and the 2003 CIVIC. The passenger airbags are faulty and may cause danger, the administration, China's quality watchdog, said. Honda (China) will fix the issue at no cost to the customer. Two of Honda's joint ventures with Chinese partners, GAC-Honda and Dongfeng-Honda, announced recalls over faulty airbags on Tuesday, affecting over 570,000 vehicles including Accord, Fit Saloon and A60 models. |
