Republic of Korea's largest carmaker, Hyundai Motor, is recalling 15,373 2007-2013 Hyundai Veracruz SUVs in China due to fuel leakage possibilities, China's quality watchdog said on Thursday.

Engine oil may leak from the cylinder bank valve cover gasket, causing the engine to stall in certain circumstances, according to a statement released by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ).

The affected vehicles were produced from Jan. 8, 2007 through March 12, 2013. Hyundai dealers will inspect, repair or even replace the faulty parts free of charge.

The recall begins on Nov. 18.
