Wang Wei was born in 1987 in Yichun, Heilongjiang Province. When she was 8 years old, she was diagnosed with late thyroid cancer. When she was 16 years old, the cancer metastasized to the whole body. When she was 20 years old, her life nearly came to an end. She wrote to “The Avenue of Stars” and planned to donate all her organs. What she did moved many people and many offered a contribution of money to her. Beijing Coal General Hospital operated on her for free. She recovered miraculously. The hospital supported her to go to the nursing school and this year, the 25-year-old girl became a nurse in Coal General Hospital. Her experience tells everyone that cancer can be defeated.
