Alpine early maturing rice in Sanka Town Huma County, Daxing’anling was planted successfully. It is known the paddy land is the most northern paddy field in China. The harvest is in sight and the yield per mu will reach to 800 jin.

Huma County lies in the north of Heilongjiang and is near the beach of Heilongjiang, the eastern side of Daxing’anling. Sanka Town developed alpine early maturing pilot demonstration project. 35-mu rice was planted. The perennial demonstration area effective accumulated temperature is 1950-2100 degrees Celsius and frost-free period is about 108 days.
