![]() 26-year-old Helen from Australia is an English teacher in Harbin. This summer, she drove a four-wheel drive motorcycle to enter the desert in Inner Mongolia, China for the first time. Helen said: “It is a great challenge for me.” I was so excited when I received an invitation from my friend, but I was a little worried. She said: “I know many foreigners like adventure sports while I’m a timid girl, so I contemplated it for a while.” Under the insistence of her Chinese friends, Helen finally decided to take part in this activity. According to Helen, her Chinese friends prepared 15 four-wheel drive motorcycles. The purpose was to let everyone not to be tired while riding. If riding two-wheel motorcycles for a long time, it’s difficult for girls physically. On July 10th, 15 four-wheel drive motorcycles set off and Helen enjoyed the whole journey. She said: “this is my first time to feel Chinese men’s consideration.” There’s one man to accompany with her when to be told to drive. Helen always drove inside. Helen said: “Sometimes, I felt they treat me as a child. It’s really warm.” As the motor group proceeded, they arrived in the desert of Inner Mongolia, China. When the motor group came across the desert, they had problems on drinking. “This is my first time to drink water in motor engine.” Helen said: “The smell made me stifled.” On the fourth day when the motor group entered the desert, because of too many people and hot weather, many of them drank up. Helen said: “in these days, I drank 10 bottles of water never wanting to go to the bathroom.” |
