NBA star Yao Ming is traveling with several other NBA players in support of his Yao foundation, and have met children who lost families in the flooding caused by Typhoon Morakot last year.

Yao is still rehabilitating from a left-foot injury causing him to miss the entire 2009-2010 season, but says he has been working hard to return when the Rockets open their pre-season training camp in September.

"Very soon, I will be 30 years old. My priority after I turn 30 is to return to the basketball court as soon as possible. I have been working very hard in the past year for that return. And I hope I will be able to fulfill my dream to manage a team in the future. That's why I chose the Shanghai Sharks for my first step in management and I think this is the best way to pursue my basketball dream", said Yao.

However, Yao will be there for the charity basketball match in Taiwan featuring local celebrities.
