Cartoon designers and directors from DreamWorks and the "Avatar" movie team will attend the world's biggest cartoon festival opening Wednesday in eastern China, the festival organizers said.

Philippe Gluckman, Rodolphe Guenoden from the American movie maker DreamWorks, and Dylan Cole, Jordu Schell from the 3-D movie "Avatar" design team will attend the festival in Hangzhou, the provincial capital of China's Zhejiang Province, according to the agenda issued by the festival organizers.

The 6th China International Cartoon and Animation Festival (CICAF) will open Wednesday evening in the Hangzhou International Exposition Center, and will last for 6 days.

The Hangzhou-based annual CICAF, which was first held in 2005, is organized by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) and Zhejiang Provincial Government.

Gluckman, known as the visual effects supervisor of the famous cartoon movie "Madagascar" in 2005, and Guenoden, the lead animator of "Kung Fu Panda" sequel, will attend two seminars during the festival to meet Chinese cartoon fans.

Two other seminars were also organized for Cole, concept art director, and Schell, lead character designer of "Avatar", the world's box office champion directed by James Cameron in 2009.

The 6th CICAF was expected to attract one million viewers, Jin Delong, deputy editor-in-chief of the SARFT, said Wednesday.

About 700,000 people visited the 5th CICAF in 2009, according to Jin.
