The overall project of the "Songhua River Basin Water Pollution Prevention Plan" is running smoothly. It has seen the expansion of the Daqing East Sewage Treatment Plant, Jiamusi water source protection, and 92 other projects completed at the end of 2009. It accounted for 86% of the total number of projects with 5.9 billion yuan planned for funding.

The water quality of the Songhua River exit continues to improve. Class 鈪?water proportion is 61.5%, increasing 2.7 percentage points over the previous year. Dissolved oxygen levels of the Songhua River Main Stream are on the increase. Partial sections of the river satisfy valuable fish breeding.
