Mosukun is a kind of folk story-telling performance which is popular in XiaoXinganling Oroquen of Heilongjiang. It was formed in the late Qing Dynasty.

鈥淢osukun鈥?means singing the story in the Oroqen language. It is an ethnic art with unique features created through hunting and the nomadic life of the Oroqen people. The 鈥淢osukun鈥?features are in talking and singing consecutive stories of heroes and the singers鈥?own life experiences. It is mainly performed by one person in folk tunes, fixed or not fixed. 鈥淢osukun鈥?is passed on from mouth to ear until now and suffers a serious loss and variation; however, it still remains a popular performance with ethnic features and is deeply loved by the Oroqen people.
