The vitality brought by ice and snow resources is quietly enriching every corner of Heilongjiang. Even in the northernmost border villages, it has helped businesses to grow. Homestay owner Shi Ruijuan has come a long way from initially "lying flat" to now busily managing three homestays.
"We all wondered, being in such a remote location, just how many people would actually come here? Later, we realized we had underestimated the allure of ice and snow," said Shi Ruijuan.
