On March 7, 2016, while participating in a deliberation with the Heilongjiang delegation on the Government Work Report, President Xi Jinping emphasized, “Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets; and the ice and snow of Heilongjiang are invaluable assets.” Over the past decade, this important concept has taken root in Heilongjiang and been translated into dynamic practice. It has propelled China’s ice-snow industry onto the fast track of high-quality development, turning the ice-snow economy into a powerful engine that benefits the people, connects with the world, and brims with vitality.
