The inbound tourism market in northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province has gotten off to a robust start in 2026, buoyed by China’s visa-free entry policy and an extended visa-free transit program.
According to statistics released by the Heilongjiang General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, the northeastern province’s ports of entry and exit handled more than 91,000 inbound and outbound passenger trips between January 1 and 9. This figure marks a substantial year-on-year increase of 43.8%.
