The annual Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival is set to open on January 5, 2026, at the Ice and Snow World on the northern bank of the Songhua River, marking the 42nd edition of this winter extravaganza.
Since pioneering China’s modern ice and snow culture in 1985, the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival has evolved into a large-scale, internationalized event, standing alongside the winter festivals of Sapporo, Quebec, and Oslo as one of the world’s four major ice and snow celebrations.
