A growing number of international travelers chose to ring in the New Year in China. Data from leading online travel platform Qunar shows that flight bookings within China made by passengers holding foreign passports covered 97 cities nationwide.
Top destinations included Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Harbin, Haikou, Xiamen, Qingdao, and Hangzhou. These cities span multiple regions: Shanghai, Qingdao, and Hangzhou in the east; Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Haikou in the south; Beijing in the north; Chengdu in the southwest; Harbin in the northeast; and Xiamen in the southeast.
