Recently, international students from countries such as Russia, Vietnam, Laos, Sri Lanka, Senegal, and Madagascar visited Jiamusi City to take part in the second Jiamusi River Shouting Festival. They wore traditional Hezhe fish-skin clothing, danced with festively dressed shamans, tasted the fresh river-opening fish, enjoyed grand ethnic song and dance performances, experienced intangible cultural heritage, and shouted together with tens of thousands of people.
The second "Hanjiang Festival" in Jiamusi City was held under the theme "Shout to the River, Taste Fresh Fish — Welcoming the Tourism Development Conference from the Easternmost Point." Making full use of the natural river-viewing advantages along the ten-mile riverside scenic belt, the festival drew on the rich heritage and contemporary charm of "river-opening culture" and Hezhe fishing and hunting traditions to build momentum for the upcoming 7th Heilongjiang Provincial Tourism Development Conference.
