Dialogue between representatives of Russia and China brings together over 60 politicians, scholars, and media figures

The cooperation between Russia and China serves as a model for relations between major powers. This statement was made by Chinese Ambassador to Moscow Zhang Hanhui during the event "China in Springtime: Sharing Opportunities with the World Global Dialogue," organised by the Chinese Embassy in collaboration with China Media Group (CMG), a partner of TV BRICS.

"Here we have representatives from political circles, the academic community, and both traditional and new media. You have made a significant contribution to the development of Sino-Russian relations and the strengthening of the centuries-old friendship between our peoples, playing an irreplaceable role in this important endeavour. Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to you"

He added that this year, the two nations will continue to expand cooperation in various areas, including preserving historical memory, academic collaboration, cultural exchange, and other forms of interaction.

Participants of the event discussed prospects for collaboration in high technology, media, and cinematography. Director of CMG’s Eurasian Bureau, Wang Bin, in an exclusive comment to TV BRICS, emphasised the crucial role of media in strengthening mutual understanding between Moscow and Beijing. According to him, media outlets must highlight traditions and achievements so that the peoples of both nations can learn more about one another.

"We need to showcase not just certain aspects of society, but its full spectrum – through feature films, news stories, and educational initiatives – so that people can gain a deeper understanding of each other’s traditions. For us, it is important to spark interest in another culture, so that audiences begin seeking additional information themselves and, as a result, learn more about one another," Wang Bin pointed out.

On the Russian side, the First Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs, Andrey Denisov, spoke at the meeting. He noted that Russia intends to continue deepening its comprehensive strategic partnership with China.

In addition, Andrey Margolin, Vice-Rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), highlighted the two countries' cooperation in the field of education during his conversation with TV BRICS. According to him, the academy actively fosters ties with Chinese universities: last year, internships for civil servants were organised in educational institutions in Shanghai. The Chinese side has shown great interest in studying Russian public administration practices.

The cultural aspect of the meeting between Russian and Chinese representatives in Moscow was also noteworthy. Participants attended the "Journey Through China via Cinema" exhibition, where they learned about the cinematic achievements of the republic.
