From August 28, 2024, to September 27, 2024, the "Chinese Bridge" online group project titled "Green Transportation: Together with You," organized by the Ministry of Education's Center for Language Exchange and Cooperation and hosted by Harbin University of Science and Technology, successfully concluded. This event attracted 256 participants from eight countries, including Vietnam, Turkmenistan, Russia, Laos, and Japan. Among them, 160 participants completed the designated learning tasks and received completion certificates.
The "Chinese Bridge" online group project was meticulously planned into three main segments: live classes, recorded classes, and cultural experience classes. The live classes focused on basic Chinese language instruction, using core expressions in the electric vehicle sector as a foundation, aiming to guide participants in exploring the booming development of China's electric vehicle industry. The recorded classes relied on specialized knowledge about electric vehicles, providing detailed explanations of driving principles and related technical points through well-produced videos. The overall course design aimed to equip participants with both Chinese language skills and rich knowledge in electric vehicles. Additionally, cultural experience classes highlighted the advantages and achievements of China's electric vehicle development. A series of online interactive activities, such as virtual visits to leading Chinese electric vehicle companies and a virtual tour of the Harbin International Auto Show, provided international participants with an in-depth understanding of the cutting-edge dynamics of China's electric vehicle industry while showcasing the unique charm and characteristics of the Heilongjiang region, effectively promoting the international dissemination and influence of its culture.
When discussing their learning experience in the Chinese Bridge program, participants generally expressed that they not only delved into a wealth of Chinese vocabulary and phrases related to electric vehicles but also witnessed firsthand the booming development of China's electric vehicle industry. This process not only significantly enhanced their language expression skills in the field of electric vehicles but also gave them a new perspective on the rapid rise of China's electric vehicle sector.
As a bridge connecting countries worldwide through language and cultural exchange, the "Chinese Bridge" meets the needs of many Chinese learners, allowing them to communicate and learn from each other, thereby igniting their enthusiasm and interest in learning Chinese and deepening their understanding of Chinese culture.
