　　The documentary film "Dostoevsky Intercontinental" by the TV BRICS joint editorial board was awarded a diploma "For Contribution to the Popularisation of Russian Culture in the BRICS Countries" at the XXX anniversary International Film Festival "Literature and Cinema" in Gatchina. The film was represented at the event by Nina Zimakova, Executive Producer of the International Media Network.During 5 days, from 3 to 7 July, 56 films of the competition programme were shown to the guests of the festival. The audience could join numerous creative meetings and master classes held in parallel at several city venues: in the large and small halls of the local cinema centre and in the Gatchina House of Culture. The festival in the Leningrad region attracted about 5,000 people.

　　The film "Dostoevsky Intercontinental" was created jointly with media companies – partners of the TV BRICS network from five countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa. This is the first large-scale international documentary project that was brought to life by the joint TV BRICS partner editorial team. Famous researchers of Fyodor Dostoevsky's work, as well as actors from the BRICS countries took part in the filming.

　　Ivan Zakharenko, the film's director, Head of Thematic Broadcasting and Special Media Projects Department at TV BRICS, noted that this film arouses great interest among foreign audiences, primarily due to the figure of Dostoevsky and the relevance of his works, which need no introduction: this is an eternally living classic that belongs to the whole world.

　　The Literature and Cinema Festival was held for the first time in summer. More than 200 works were submitted to the competition. The films were evaluated by a professional jury, which included well-known artists.
