The Republic of Tatarstan will be supported by the TV BRICS network in providing information support for its international activities. On 15 May 2024, at the XV International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum 2024", the relevant cooperation agreement was signed by Aidar Salimgarayev, Head of the Republican Agency for Press and Mass Communications Tatmedia, and Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS International Media Network.
The cooperation between the partners is aimed at creating a positive image of Tatarstan in the BRICS+ countries and increasing the recognition of the Russian Federation constituent entity in the international arena. In particular, the parties agreed to inform foreign audiences about the holding of major events and the republic's achievements in various social and economic spheres, including science, education, healthcare, culture and sports, as well as to promote co-operation between the mass media of Tatarstan and foreign countries.
"Holding major international events in Tatarstan motivates us to co-operate even more actively with global media. We feel the support of our federal colleagues, as well as great interest in our projects in friendly countries. We are confident that co-operation with TV BRICS will open new opportunities for us to tell the story of the Republic of Tatarstan as the backbone region of the Russian Federation, which has not only a huge industrial and investment potential, but also a unique cultural diversity," said Aidar Salimgarayev.
Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS, emphasised that all major events involving foreign delegations scheduled to take place in Kazan in 2024, including the XV Russia-Islamic World International Economic Forum, the Kazan Marathon, the BRICS Sports Games and the BRICS Heads of State Summit, will be fully supported in the BRICS+ media space, taking into account the linguistic diversity of the BRICS+ member states and partners.
Earlier, TV BRICS started joint work with Innopolis University to promote the achievements of the Republic of Tatarstan in science and higher education in the BRICS+ countries' media space.
