A delegation of over 200 business executives and government officials led by the government of Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province, returned from Europe on Sunday.
The delegation visited 325 enterprises and institutions, and signed 37 projects. They participated in 29 investment fairs, harvesting a total investment intention of $ 5.954 billion.
Preliminary statistics indicate the delegation has received orders worth 3 billion yuan ($430 million), most of which are for exports.
It is the first Chinese economic and trade delegation to France and Germany since the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Suzhou Bureau of Commerce.
Data shows that last year, Suzhou's total trade with Germany was $14.81 billion, a year-on-year increase of 33.9 percent, accounting for more than 6 percent of the total national trade with the country.
