An industry investment promotion alliance was established in Harbin New Zone in Harbin, capital of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, on April 17.
The alliance is a part of the zone's reform of its business and investment promotion mechanisms.
It aims to expand business and investment promotion channels and develop a mechanism for international promotion.
A total of 123 units and associations have joined the alliance thus far, with 24 people being hired as investment advisors.
The alliance is expected to play an essential role in boosting Harbin New Zone's economic and industrial development.
Since the establishment of the Harbin New Zone, it has introduced seven Fortune Global 500 enterprises and nine projects with investment of more than 10 billion yuan each.Strategic emerging industry clusters involving equipment manufacturing, new materials and modern biomedicine have gradually formed in the zone as well.
