Action film "Raging Fire" continued to dominate the Chinese mainland box office on Monday, figures from the China Movie Data Information Network showed on Tuesday.
Focusing on a story about police hunt for a gang of drug traffickers, the film ended its fourth day of screening with daily earnings of around 46.03 million yuan (about 7.12 million U.S. dollars), accounting for nearly 54 percent of the day's total box office revenue.
It was followed by romantic comedy "Upcoming Summer," which generated about 17.82 million yuan on Monday.
Coming in third was animated film "White Snake 2: The Tribulation of the Green Snake," the latest cinematic production centered on the ancient Chinese legend of the White Snake. The film pocketed 10.76 million yuan on the 11th day of its screening Monday. Enditem
