China saw a record high of 18.71 million motor vehicles newly registered in the first half of 2021, the Ministry of Public Security said on Tuesday.
As of the end of June 2021, China had 384 million motor vehicles in total, including 292 million cars, according to data released by the ministry.
The number of licensed motor vehicle drivers reached 469 million, of which 431 million were car drivers, the ministry said. Enditem
