Mr. Fu Zuoren (left), a senior industrial artist, was born in 1935 in rural areas of Hailun County, Heilongjiang Province, belonging to the Manchu ethnic group. Since 1950, he has been engaged in the work of rescuing folk art, collecting, researching, documenting, writing, editing and publishing work. He showcased the ancient art of northern China, the Shadow Puppet Art, and won the international gold medal.
