China's State Council announced the appointment and removal of officials Tuesday.
Zuo Li was appointed as vice minister of justice; Xiong Maoping as vice director of the State Administration for Market Regulation; Wang Linggui as vice president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, replacing Cai Fang; Xiao Yuanqi as vice chairman of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission; Sun Jianli as deputy head of the National Public Complaints and Proposals Administration, replacing Xu Siming; Zhang Xin as deputy head of the National Mine Safety Administration; Li Zhaozong as head of the National Administration of State Secrets Protection, replacing Tian Jing; Yin Zonghua as deputy head of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; and Zhang Wei as vice chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, replacing Jia Yong.
Meanwhile, Ye Jianchun was removed from the post of vice minister of water resources, and Huang Hong and Zhu Shumin from the post of vice chairmen of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission. Enditem
