The paper-cut animation "Chinese New Year" was released on Thursday in Beijing in eight languages, sharing the story of the Spring Festival with audiences across the world. Based on the story of "Nian", a fabled monster, the animation presents the cultural background and connotations of the Spring Festival. The works were created by Fu Zhao-E, a national-level intangible heritage inheritor of paper-cutting. The video integrates her works with two-dimensional animation, showcasing the charisma of traditional culture.
